MEDICAL SERVICES OVERVIEW

BOTOX

Botox Cosmetic is a substance that causes the temporary relaxation of muscles. It has been used safely by ophthalmologists for years to treat various eye conditions. Dermatologists use it to decrease the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles. There are three main areas that may be treated with Botox: the glabellar area between the eyebrows (frown lines), the forehead horizontal lines, and the area lateral to the eyes (crow's feet).

JUVEDERM

RESTYLANE

PLASMA (PRP)

Juvederm is a family of injectable hyaluronic acid dermal fillers used to provide 9 months to one year of correction for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth). It is not indicated for use in lip augmentation.

Juvederm products are a smooth consistency gel, compared to some hyaluronic gel products that have a granular consistency.

PRP is a natural product created from your own body. A small amount of blood is drawn from you and placed in a sterile tube that is spun down in a centrifuge to separate the different components of the blood. Red and white blood cells are divided from the platelets and the plasma (the clear fluid). This plasma now contains a higher than normal number of platelets and is called platelet rich plasma, or PRP.

Restylane, Restylane-L®, Restylane® Silk, Perlane®, and Perlane-L® are all members of the Restylane family of products. Each is a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid that is specifically formulated to act like your body's own naturally produced hyaluronic acid, helping to instantly, visibly reduce moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds or add fullness to your lips (Restylane, Restylane-L and Restylane Silk only) in patients over 21.
